![]() Mr. Walters specializes in complex commercial litigation and has substantial experience in defending and prosecuting business litigation cases involving real estate development and leasing, construction disputes, sales representative commission claims, computer software development and implementation failures, vendor and other contract terminations, shareholder disputes and business divorces, patent infringement claims, non-competition covenants, misappropriation of trade secrets, and tortious interference and other business torts. Mr. Walters also has extensive experience representing municipalities and school districts in a wide variety of matters, including the defense of personal injury cases and fatal school bus accidents, sexual harassment claims, discrimination and other employment disputes, First Amendment claims, Open Meetings Act matters and municipal prosecutions. His experience includes both trial and appellate practice, in addition to arbitrations. Mr. Walters received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Michigan State University and his Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from the University of Detroit Mercy. While in law school, Mr. Walters served as an Associate Editor, and later as the Managing Editor, of the University of Detroit Law Review. Mr. Walters was admitted to the Michigan Bar and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan in 1994. Since then, he has also been specially admitted to practice in matters pending in various states.
