Mr. Kim concentrates his practice in representing employers in all facets of labor and employment counseling and litigation, litigating business interests in commercial claims, and enforcing creditor's rights.  He received his B.A., cum laude, from Wheaton College in 2001 and his J.D. from American University, Washington College of Law in 2005.

Mr. Kim's experience includes counseling employers on employee discipline and discrimination claims, unfair labor practices, and civil rights claims.  He has successfully litigated breach of contract claims for businesses and individuals.  Most recently, Mr. Kim assisted in resolving multi-venue litigation on behalf of a group of minority shareholders against an agricultural cooperative.  The action involved allegations of breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duties, and issues of first impression under the Illinois Agricultural Cooperative Act.  Mr. Kim also has defended physicians and hospitals in professional liability claims,   has litigated insurance coverage disputes involving casualty and commercial policies.

Mr. Kim is admitted to practice in the state courts of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Central District of Illinois.  He is a member of the American and Illinois State Bar Associations.  Mr. Kim also is active in the Peoria County Bar Association where he serves on the board of directors, diversity committee, and nominating committee, as well as chairs the young lawyers committee.  He is also associated with the Illinois Association of Defense and Trial Counsel, the Defense Research Institute, and the American Inns of Court, Abraham Lincoln Inn.
