Mr. Lipsitt concentrates his practice in commercial litigation with particular emphasis on insurance coverage, benefits, contract, commercial and consumer lending, fiduciary liability and professional liability.  He also has substantial experience in virtually all aspects of insurance law, including insurance counseling and policy interpretation, the negotiation and settlement of claims, representation of clients in administrative proceedings, reinsurance disputes, insurance audits and insolvency matters.  Mr. Lipsitt has been involved in various types of complex litigation for regional, national and multinational companies in Michigan and across the country.

He has appeared in numerous state and federal courts throughout the country.  Mr. Lipsitt is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, Detroit Bar Association and the American Bar Association.  He has spoken on and authored several articles on various aspects of insurance law including insurance coverage issues, insurance audits and insolvency.

Mr. Lipsitt received his Bachelor of Arts, with high distinction, from the University of Michigan.  He obtained his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School.  Mr. Lipsitt was awarded membership in the National Order of the Barristers and received the Wayne State University Board of Governors Recognition Award.
