Mr. Tracy concentrates his practice in commercial litigation, including environmental, health care and white-collar crime.  Admitted to practice in the states of Michigan and Illinois, he was an Assistant United States Attorney with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Illinois (1995-1999) and a clerk for the Honorable Judge Patrick J. Duggan of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan (1993-1995).  Mr. Tracy was also a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge John L. Coffey of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit in 1991.

He graduated, with honors, from James Madison College of Michigan State University, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1990.  In 1993, he received a Juris Doctor, with honors, from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review (1991-1993), notes & comments editor (1993), and received certificates in Environmental and International Law.

Mr. Tracy has had two articles published in the Journal of International Law and Practice, was an Appellate Advocacy instructor for Loyola University-Chicago School of Law (1997-1998), as well as a visiting instructor of Environmental Policy-Making at James Madison College of Michigan State University (1994).  He is a member of the Board of the Kalamazoo Nature Center, the Alliance of the Great Lakes, The Montessori School in Kalamazoo and the Gull Lake Quality Organization.  Mr. Tracy is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and its Committee on United States Courts, Illinois State Bar Association, Kalamazoo Chamber of Commerce, Federal Bar Association, Kalamazoo County Bar Association, Kalamazoo Rotary Club, Southwest Michigan Land Conservancy and Little Traverse Conservancy.  He is the Michigan Wetlands for Tomorrow Campaign Chair for Ducks Unlimited and is a member of their National Advisory Development Board.  Mr. Tracy is also a 2006 graduate of the Leadership Kalamazoo.
