![]() Mr. Herrington concentrates his practice in intellectual property law, gaming law, commercial litigation and internet law. He received a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Michigan in 1988 and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Wayne State University Law School in 1992. Among Mr. Herrington's many publications, he is a contributing author to Slot Manager Magazine and Casino Journal and writes a quarterly column on intellectual property matters in the gaming industry for the Gaming Standards Association's newsletter. Other recent articles include " E-commerce Benefits from New Electronic Signatures Act" (The Greater Lansing Business Monthly), "Overview of Corporate Patent Management," "Intellectual Property Management" and "New Federal Case Attempts to Clarify the Complex Interplay Between Internet Trademark Rights and Internet Domain Names." He was a contributing author to The State of Michigan Gaming Law Legal Resource Book, 2nd Ed. and co-author of West Publishing's Products Liability Guide for the 50 States. He and Arthur Rogers have developed and authored several gaming intellectual property and antitrust-related web sites, and co-authored portions of the Northern Gaming Resource Guide 1999-2000 , including "The Interplay Between Antitrust and Intellectual Property" and "Gaming Intellectual Property Laws." He is a frequent speaker on intellectual property and litigation matters and is a frequent presenter at Global Gaming Expos and Regional Gaming Shows. Mr. Herrington's memberships include the State Bar of Michigan, the Florida Bar, the American Intellectual Property Law Association and the Michigan Intellectual Property Law Association. He is admitted to practice all state courts in Michigan and Florida and the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the Middle District of Florida, the District of Colorado and the Federal Civil Court of Appeals. An experienced commercial and intellectual property litigator, Mr. Herrington is also registered to practice as a patent attorney before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
