![]() Mr. Rogers practices in the areas of commercial litigation, gaming and intellectual property law. He has several years of experience with general business, litigation management and negotiation skills. Mr. Rogers received a Bachelor of Science in Economics, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee in 1989 and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in 1995, where his achievements include managing editor of the Law Review, an Honors Scholarship, certificates of merit and Moot Court Competition. Mr. Rogers has also served as an adjunct professor at Thomas M. Cooley Law School for two years. Mr. Rogers is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the American Bar Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association. He is admitted to practice in all courts in Michigan, the 9th Circuit of the U.S. Court of Appeals and the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern & Western Districts of Michigan and the District of Colorado. Mr. Rogers was a judicial clerk for the Honorable Stanley J. Latreille, Chief Judge of the 44th Circuit in Michigan. He also worked for the Michigan United Conservation Clubs where he coordinated, researched and assisted in writing a treatise on takings law, eminent domain and how current legislation may impact current "takings" law in Michigan. Mr. Rogers is a regular contributing author to Casino Journal Slot Manager Magazine and other related gaming publications. He was also a major contributing author to the publication The State of Michigan Gaming Law Legal Resource Book , First Ed. 1998, Second Ed. 1999. He and Brian Herrington have developed and authored several gaming intellectual property and antitrust-related websites, and co-authored portions of the Northern Gaming Resource Guide 1999-2000, including "The Interplay Between Antitrust and Intellectual Property," and "Gaming Intellectual Property Laws." Mr. Rogers is a frequent speaker on intellectual property and litigation matters and presented at the 2001 and 2002 World Gaming Congress and Exposition and G2E in Las Vegas.
